I did the fuel pump re-wire and just wanted to double check If I understood the directions...

I used 30 for battery and 85 to ground.. I think this was the easiest LOL

As far as 86 and 87, I did not want to cut in to the cars stock harness so I cut the fuel pump black and white wires instead. the end going from the cut section to the pump I plugged in to 87. The other end going from the cut section to the harness clip to the car, I plugged in 86.

I've been reading around and from what i keep reading, people cut the cars harness and plug that in to 86.. Is that really necessary? I think my way should work too.. unless the clip interfere's with something (which I doubt)

Let me know!

87 12g gauge to pump
86 goes to black wire with white strip on harness
85 14 gauge ground
30 10 Gauge to battery with fuse or breaker by battery i use the breaker its beast, thicker connections, i cant go lean if i try !

ok thanks guys!

Just think of it this way. I did the rewire and didn't have to cut the harness that goes to the car (only the one that goes to the pump)

If that sounds right to you, then i should be good!

yes, you only need to cut the harness to the pump, in fact you only need to cut one wire, the black one with the white stripe. That is your "trigger" for the relay, connects to 85-86.
