Do i need any type of install kit to install a 255 walboro or is it just a r/r part? (r/r = remove and replace) Thanks !

You don't have to get the rewire kit. Once you get the old one out( thats fun, good luck) the 255 just swaps right in.

Depends on where you buy it. Technically, you do need an install kit because some places sell only the pump itself, and others bundle the kit with it. The install kit is necessary, and contains things like an insulation sleeve, wire connectors, new pick-up filter, etc., and is usually around $20 I believe. Check with the vendor to make sure you're getting what you think you are!

The FP install kit and the FP rewire are two different things. you'll have to "rewire" the pump into the housing just like the stock pump; but the "Fuel Pump Rewire" that everyone talks about is a separate issue that is not part of the replacement, and can be done at any time. (it is recommended though).

And you may want to invest in a flare wrench and some PB Blaster for the stock fitting while your at it, if you don't have them. :D
