So today while i was waiting for my dad to come home with the 32MM socket (for the axle), I thought I might as well check the fuel pump and swap in the walbro I had in the garage.
(Car is a 1991 Eagle Talon Turbo AWD)
So I went into the trunk and pulled off the pump cover and behold RUST beyond belief. 4 out of the 8 bolts that hold the fuel pump housing broke clean off (those little nuts) and when my flashlight was resting on the fuel pump line, it broke in half due to rust.
So then I proceed to pull the fuel pump housing out and I am greeted with a Walbro pump already in there.
So my question now is should I try and locate another stock fuel pump housing or should I try and make a braided fuel line? (I would have to drill a male to male fitting in place and then find the size of the stock fuel line thread and create a small line to connect to that).

I'm actually building a car for my dad and his sending unit is rather rusted. I've been soaking it with PB blast but doubt I'll keep it due to the rust flaking off. I'll most likely bulkhead the sending unit and try to tie back into the stock hardline after I inspect it. If its bad I may go with the line kit from STM.
