Fuel pressure regulator worth it?

You want to keep things really cheap and really simple? Skip the AFPR altogether and keep the stocker. Your car will work just fine without it and it's free... simple. Plenty of daily driven cars with bigger pumps keep the stock FPR. Even cars running multiple pumps and running into the low-10s and even the 9s using the stock FPR. Is it best to have an AFPR? Sure. But if you're going to skimp and buy cheap, then you'd be better off leaving the stock one on there for free.

Gee, bunch of folks relaying the same thing I told you from their own first hand experience. Clearly I was out of line.

By the way an AFPR leak is not just an annoyance.. its a major fire hazard. I can think of 4-5 off the top of my head, including the GVR4 that burned down at the shootout a year or two back.

If you don't like what people are posting feel free to leave at ANYTIME, but clearly you cant because you feel that you must get the last word in EVEN though no one cares what you have to say at this point,

Thanks to everyone else to mature enough to make civilized and non condescending comments and suggestions ill take them into concentration thanks agian :thumb:

Well I appreciate the kind words. I'll take your word for it, but genuinely not angry. More along the lines of mildly amused.

There is a thread from yesterday I could see that would give that impression. Just a slow day, drinking some coffee and perhaps losing some patience with more obstinate members of the community who seek advice and then fight it when it comes as requested and it wasn't what they wanted to hear. I checked this guys post/thread creation history, and it's full of threads like this one.

The reason I'll lean on issues like this is twofold.. First - Safety. No one should get hurt. Second, doing things "right." A statement that is admittedly often subjective, but not so much in this situation. It can cause major headaches and cost more money. These cheap units have a documented history of leaking high pressure fuel.. Which comes back to safety.

What consolation is it to any passengers, first responders, etc. that he saved 30 bucks on the part that may have caused a potentially lethal situation?

/Broken record, blahblah

Since you're reporting members for helping you I recommend SEARCHING for the information first next time you have a question, before posting. This will save you the frustration of receiving help and our time for attempting to help answer questions that have already been answered thousands of times.

Read the upgrade path, specifically the Fuel Upgrade bullet. Tech Guide: 2G Drag Setup - DSMtuners

or, if that's not convincing enough...

Search next time. This is going in the Newbie Thread Graveyard.
