Alright, well a few months ago, i got out of the dsm scene, and traded my talon for a 92 F150, 4 inch lift, rebuilt motor, runs great, and now im looking to get rid of it because i cant stand the gas mileage. A guy on Craigslist wants to trade me his 92 Eclipse GSX, 175,xxx miles, and blown oil feed/return lines, its got an evo 3 alternator. He said it pisses oil from the lines, but sometime this week he's gonna get the lines from a dealer and replace them and come up a good 30 miles, meet and trade for my truck. He says the car ran great when he parked it, and there's no shaft play in the turbo. Should I do it? what should i look for when i do the deal?
. I bought my first DSM 2 years ago and wish I would have looked into the car further before purchasing it cause now im trying to fix a bunch of things on it. Just make sure to ask questions and look things over. Definitely test drive it and look for anything unusual. Also ask for receipts on the maintenance records I hope he has changed the timing belt by now if not im sure he hasn't kept up with the car. Don't buy into "oh ya I did all this to the car" kinda stuff ask for the critical things and like I said the receipts.
