So im going to be starting up my car after the rebuild, and I just hooked up my fpr. My question is how do I set my fuel pressure to begin with? do I turn it all the way down and then a couple turns? Since its never ran with this regulator will it affect my startup?

Also,What is a good vacuum source for the fpr since I removed my fp solenoid and bracket?

1. You can always just power the fuel pump by battery. You should rewire anyway, and doing so would make this easier.

2. The same source that went to the solenoid in the first place! There is a nipple on the intake manifold that is kind of behind the fuel rail and coils (it's buried but findable.)

Run the vacuum line from the nipple on the intake manifold.

As for start up, just leave it as it came and once its running adjust it. Below is what your pressure hsold be at at normal operating temp, at base idle, with all accessories off, vacuum line removed and plugged:
1G MT = 37psi
1G A/T = 43psi
1G NT = 48psi

Hope this helps!

thanks for your guys help. Now I just need to figure out how to adjust it. So I just remove the vacuum line when im adjusting it,and then reinstall after its set?

Once you are at normal operating temp and idling at 750 (+/- 50) rpms, remove the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator and cap it with your thumb. Then turn the adjustment screw until you reach the specified psi for your model (listed above). Then lock the adjustment screw into place and reattach the vacuum line. That's it.

Hope this helps!

Thanks again for all your help, and just to make sure, I cap the vacuum line off with my finger, not the fpr correct?
