So i'm selling a few parts off my 1g GSX including my fuel pressure regulator. I'm putting back on a 14b since i have 450 injectors on. Now what i wanna know is do i need a stock fuel reg to replace the aftermarket one or do i just plug the fuel line into the rail? I wanna be sure before i sell it off.

If you have an in-tank 255 pump then you would want the aftermarket FPR. If your running an in-tank 190 or a stock pump then a stock regulator should be fine. Just make sure you get the correct one that you will be needing.

Pressure rating when at Idle with Vac line attached:
Non-turbo (all) 37-39 psi
Automatic turbo 32-34 psi
5-speed turbo 26-28 psi

I have herd of and seen someone run a wally 255 on a stock non turbo FPR with 550cc injectors, but I have not talked to them in a while to know how well it all ended.

Alright cool, thanks guys. How do i tell if my injectors are 450 or 550? I know how to check the pump, but the guy i bought it from claimed their 550 but i'm not sure if i trust him on that.

Merry Xmas!

Pull one of the injectors out and read the numbers on the side of the injector. Most will have a model # scribed into them. You can post that # up here and we can tell you.

In your first post you said you have the stock 450cc's on it. So if there stock 1g 450cc's then they will be a lighter bluish color. The 2g's 450cc's are black if I remember correctly. I have never had a 2g so I'm not fully sure on that.

If they are stock and a bluish color you can see them without needing to remove the fuel rail and risk causing a boost leak at the injector seals. If they are old seals then I would recomend replacing them while you have the fuel rail out to save work later on down the road.

Make sure you lube the seals before you install them to prevent them from tearing so they wont leak.
