what should the stock fuel pressure be on a stock 1G turbo laser awd. Also what size are the stock injectors?

thank you very much, I am woundering because my car is doin this wierd thing in 1st gear at low rpm it will rev fine then it kinda chuggs and then goes back to revving fine. this has happened in other gears but not nearly as often. I believe it ismy fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injectors, coil packs or spark plug wires. anyone else run into a problem like this on one of these cars?

don't bump... and your question was already answered... around 37psi.

Wipe your finger inside the tailpipe. If you get back thick, black soot (which is a pain to get off, so use a paper towel or leaf instead of your finger), you're running rich.

A stock fuel pump will put out fuel at 37psi with the vac hose off the FPR, around 27 with it on.

A Walbro 255 HP will put out around 35psi with the vac hose ON, and 45psi with it off, as it overruns the stock FPR. 30% higher pressure, your 450cc injectors will be dishing out the shot a 585cc with the same interval (which will destroy your injectors, by the way) would deliver. In this case, you need an AFPR as soon as possible... mine's going in tomorrow.


Symptoms: Laggy throttle response on first rev, okay afterward. Rough idle at low RPM. Morning white smoke from tailpipe. Stinks of gas at the back. Whirring/whining noise from the driver-rear corner. INSANE amounts of turbo-glow from the manifold, O2, and turbo exhaust housing. 17-20mpg.

I may also have a torn/mis-seated o-ring on the fuel pump line coupling, or it may just be flooding... in either case, also have hard starting (3-7 seconds to start).
