Fuel pressure question - 1g Turbo Manual

I read you set base pressure to 36psi. So I took the vac hose off of my Fuel lab AFPR, finger over hose. set presure to 36psi. Put hose back on then pressure reads 30psi. Is this normal???? I have a 1g, 5 speed, AWD turbo.

yes. I thought 1g's where 37.5 psi with hose off, not 36psi

Well from multiple posts, I read it was 36 to 38. I set it at 38 now and it still reads 30 with the hose attached
