fuel injec cleaner

so i bought some lucas oil stabilizer to see if it really stops the infamous ticking like people have claimed it does on here and they gave me some lucas fuel injector cleaner for free(pep boys) i was wonder if anybody has ever used it or other fuel injector cleaners and noticed anything at all or is it just garbage?

I've used the Redline fuel system cleaner before, can't say I really noticed a change.

when i first got my car, i ran it for about 2 days. after that, i put lucas fuel additive in, and it helped my idle. then i changed my oil and put in some lucas oil stabilizer with valvoline high mileage and my car was noticeably "smoother" running, but thats with any oil change. however, it did cure my lifter tick. i just started getting it very minor, i changed oil to 10w-30 and some los and it has no ticking whatsoever (500miles) but my car is dead right now so i cant record any further info :x

The best cure for lifter tick is to open up the valve cover and take out the old lifters and throw them in the garbage. Buy a new revised set of lifters if the ticking really bothers you =)

I had used the Chevron Proguard Fuel Injector cleaners. I add it to an almost depleted fuel tank once every 6 months to maintain clean injectors. i dont know if this will help your lifter ticking though.

i used RESTORE in my engine and the ticking went away. I never added anything in my engine until i tried a can of these, and they do work.

I tried some of that lucas fuel injector cleaner stuff. I always hear its great stuf but I didn't really notice a difference. though my car really didn't need it at the time so that would probaly be why.

Fuel system cleaners are most efficient at cleaning out your wallet. Gasoline has detergents and surfactants in it, and it's seldom anyone pitches dirt into your gas tank anyway.

Quick fix for dirty fuel systems AND you can use it every fill up (CHEVERON withTECHRON SUPREME!!!!)Not cheap though 2.07 93 octane down herein Louisiana.
