I have a 99 GS-T and I have a leak somewhere in the fuel hose coming from the filter to the fuel rail. I was wondering if I can just replace the hose or if I will need to replace the fittings and hose as one piece. If it is one piece, does anyone have the OEM part number? Thank you.

Getting ready to sell the car. It has been sitting for the last year and when I started it the other day I noticed a small puddle of fuel under the car. Now I have to fix it before I can sell it.

No one can help me? I guess I will have to call Mitsubishi.

Use the fuel pump check terminal to pressurize the fuel system and then try to visualize exactly where the leak is coming from. It might be as simple as the banjo bolt on top of the fuel filter not being tightened properly. Let me know if you need any help with the location of the check terminal, etc.

It is leaking from the top of the fuel line just before the fitting that bolts it to the fuel rail. I was wondering if I can just replace the hose or if the enitre piece including the fittings from the filter and the fitting that bolts it to the fuel rail were one piece.

I have never replaced mine so I am not certain but I believe it is intended to be replaced in it's entirety. I have seen one where the guy rigged up his own line using high quality fuel hose and reused the end fittings. He pushed the hose over the ends and clamped it down. It seemed to be holding up but I personally would be reluctant to do it that way. I wouldn't want to take any chances with a fuel line.

I wish I could be more helpful on this.

The fittings are crimp on fittings so its designed to be replaced as one piece. If you go to a place that can make air conditioning hoses they have the crimp fittings and you can bring your hose and enough high quality fuel hose and have them crimp on new ends but till you do all that it would probably be cheaper to just get a new hose or snag one from a junkyard. Don't quote me on this but I think the 1g and 2g hoses may be the same. I know the ends match but one may be slightly longer.
