Fuel Help

Guys i need help, I am losting ALOT of fuel...I know i am running extremly rich, that is not new to me...what is new is wasting 1/4 tank to drive from my school and back (around 45 miles) i never used to waste this much gas. what can it be?

The afc is installed but it is not tuned (set at 0 right now), i checked all visible lines and dont see any disconnected. I will check for fuel lines a little later (if possible) b/c i have to be getting to work now....Well any ideas what it can be?

Right now i think its the sensor that shows how much fuel is in your tank......I was goign to get a walbro fuel pump (190) does anyone know if that would replace the sensor as well?

even if you had your afc tuned you wouldnt waste 1/4 tank driving 45 miles. i highly doubt its your afc. maybe one of your fuel lines is cracked and is leaking, you should leave your car parked and running and check around your fuel rail, lines ect... . my first guess would be that you have a leak somewhere, then maybe a bad sensor. if it was because your afc was burning to much fuel you would notice it on your a/f guage wouldnt you?

yes i do have the a/f gauge...the reason i stated that the afc was untuned for the time being is because that was my last modification that i have installed on the car. The afc if anything (if tuned) would improve gas mileage.

I will check the fuel rail as soon as i get off work, then maybe a bad sensor? Does anyone know if the fuel pump would come w/ a new sensor?

hey didnt you just tap the end of the fuel rail for the nitrous kit? maybe you didnt tighten the connection all the way. they recommend to use some kind of sealent, but im not and its been fine. but those connections are very sensitive. the first time i opened the bottle(same connection there) cold nitrous started spraying out. 1/4 turn of the wrench was the only difference between leaking and not. i would start looking there.

also, to test if it was a bad sensor, look how much gas it takes to fill up the tank when the sensor says its empty. if you only need 4 gallons to fill it up, then i would say its the sensor.

or maybe you have a lead foot?

no i havent taped the fuel rail, i was going ot do that tomorrow mornign after i go and celebrate the cane's victory.......But im hesitant to do it if its bad fuel rail.

No i checked, i dont htink ive been driving heavier, no man 1/4 tank for 45 miles driving....NO WAY
