I have a 97gst Spyder. I recently bought front component speakers and an amp for them. Had my battery unplugged while I did all the wiring, have the wires going under the rug along the passenger side door to under the passenger side seat where the amp is. I hooked everything up, hooked the battery back up and everything works great except for the fuel gauge now doesn't work.

The needle is sitting at the lowest empty. I tried letting it run for 10 min and no change. All other gauges work except for the gas level. Could I have pulled a wire accidentally or shorted something? I searched and read there's a fuel level sending unit, where is the wire located from the gauge to the gas tank to measure it's level?

Check your grounds. Otherwise you can check the continuity between the sending unit and the gauge cluster. The wires run along the floor. Did you pull anything out?

I hooked up the front door speakers with stock wiring, tweeters i put in stock spot and ran wires down, amp power i made a hole in the rubber boot thing behind the battery. Hooked up what I needed to the radio, then had all the wires ziptied and ran across the passenger side below the glove box and along the passenger door side to the amp under the seat. Pretty straight forward I have no idea what could have happened... Lol deff not low on gas unless someone siphoned it out. I'm going to try to fill the tank 100% tomorrow probably won't work but maybe...[DOUBLEPOST=1414686508][/DOUBLEPOST]I found a post on newtiburon saying that if the radio wiring is wrong it can mess with gauges and other electronics. I tried unplugging the radio completely and testing everything. Turn signals and all gauges work except still no fuel gauge. So it can't be a blown fuse correct? What are the next steps for figuring this out?[DOUBLEPOST=1414711705][/DOUBLEPOST]plug near the fuel tank was unplugged, maybe from going over a bump or something? Complete coincidence LOL
