Fuel Gauge problem

My stock fuel gauge does not go all the way down before my low fuel warning light comes on. Previous owner said this was because of the recall work done on the gas tank. Also I can not get the back seat belts to work the bottom half (where the belt clips in) will not come up. Any help?

I just had the same problem with my gauge. The float was hitting a raised piece of metal inside the tank. The fuel pump was one of my first mods about a year ago and it has just now started to bother me. Now that I know a lot more about my car I decided to start fixing all the stupid small things that are wrong with my car. So I fixed it finally and now I'm happy .

Also a word of advice, if what I said is your problem, there is a black rubber piece that goes between the top of the fuel tank and the fuel pump assembly, make sure you put that on the lip of the tank before you put the assembly in and then the white plastic cap. It will keep the fuel pump assembly from moving which is the reason why the float got caught on the metal in the tank!!! And be careful with the banjo bolts, remember undo the bottom bolt first .
