air to fuel ratio gauge problem

So after i hooked up my safc2 my air to fuel gauge stopped working. Is it because of the safc2? Can i write it to the second O2 sensor? I know most of you guys are going to say "get a wide band air fuel gauge".haha but i just want to see how rich and how lean I'm running.i haven't exactly figured out how to tell on the safc2. Any help would be appreciated. I have been stuck on this for about a week and am just know breaking down and putting up a post.

How can you even tell if your running rich or lean on a narrowband anyhow? When I had mine if I was on the gas it was green, when I let off it was red, waste of $65+ install time.

Oh i did not know that. I figured it would just help me figure out if I'm running lean or rich. So is there a way to tell on the safc2 how rich and lean i am? Or maybe i will just have to fork out the $200 for a wide band. The car came with the narrow band when i bought it.

Yeah the air/fuel gauge (narrowband) is a terrible piece of equipment... it really shows you nothing. What I've noticed the gauges do, is just mimic the throttle, either on/off throttle the lights move from lean to rich. Cruising all mine did was sweep back and forth from lean to rich... super annoying, get a wideband to tune with

eBay. Innovate LC-1 kits run easily under $200 there. This is the kit to go with if you ever plan on getting ECMlink. The AEM kit just doesn't work well at all with it.
