Fuel back spray from the filler neck

Like the subject says, I own an 1998 rs and fuel is spraying out filler neck when I try to fill it up at the pump.

I've started a thread on another forum, to give you more information to help me diagnose the problem.

Also, have one in the newbie section here as well, but I asked about which is the correct vapor canister for the 420a.

I searched found only evap emission problem threads for the turbo only, but I notice in my chiltons the fuel tank assembly is indentical to the fwd turbo.

I have an AWD so the route is different but the filler necks have a secondary vent line to aid while filling the car, if that vent line is plugged or clogged it could be the source of your problem. basically the funnel effect. Just a possibility.
