Ok, I've been looking for several months for a Talon TSi, 1g or 2g, under 5000 dollars. I've looked all over autotrader, ebay, everywhere I can think of. So, if anyone has any ideas of where to look or know someone selling one in the Cincinnati Ohio area, please, don't be shy...

Have you tried the classifieds on this site? There is a large number of cars on there...I dunno whether you can find what you're looking for, but its worth a try.

I live in Cincy as well, and there really aren't any around. Expand your search! Do an autotrader search for 300 miles. If you want something good, you're going to have to drive...

I had to search for a 2 months for my car. 1g awd's are hard to find in WA that are worth buying.

Been looking for a 1g for about 3 months myself in the Las Vegas/Southwest area, about 2 months ago I got a red 90 Laser turbo fwd (86k) from a dealership and paid $2599, drove it home and to 7/11 once, everything seemed fine, and the next day I went out to start it and the rpms jumped around between 1k and about 2300 and then it started to run real rough and then died, started it once more and it was barely running, checked under hood and all looked ok, so I tried once more and though it wouldnt start I could hear the bottom end knocking as the engine rotated via the starter, luckily I got my cash back and it wasnt to bad of a hassle. I knew little of dsm cars at the time, wish I did cause the dealer told me that they had an idle problem with the car and they fixed it by removing the balance shaft(s) or the belt to it or something, and no mention of the balance shaft kit being used, anyhow Im guessing thats what caused the knock.

In response to the prior posts-maybe its just me but I tend to find more dsm's for sale in the east, I had a bad experiance with a vehicle shipper so I cant bring myself to go that route again, good luck to those looking!

I just have really bad timing I guess. I found a 92 FWD and a 91 FWD but both were sold by the time I called them.

your from cincy? are you a skyline/talon kinda guy, or a goldstar/talon guy? oh well, cincy rules all the time neways.

GO BENGASLS!

You want to have a TSI AWD in your town down at the local Joes Car Sales???

Don't we ALL!!!???

That hasn't happened since 1998 and very few times since then.

Better get excited about driving a few hours cause....every single AWD out there is worth at least a 3 hr drive....I drove 7 hrs ONE WAY.....test drove my car.....Paid in cash and then drove MY GSX 7 hours home.

people

Go buy a Focus....at least you CAN get that car tommorow.

Gsxtacy

Yeah, that makes sense. Every TSi is at least 3 hours away? What about the people that live 3 hours away from me? In that case shouldn't their be one here for them to come and get? And I wasn't neccasarily looking for an AWD, just a TSi.

You’re right gsxtacy. I made several 3-hour trips to look at cars and ended up driving home with out them. Until my final 3 1/2 hour trip. I drove out in the middle of nowhere. The guy seriously looked just like the uni-bomber and lived in a trailer in the woods.

I had to wait 5 months, only got to look at 3 cars (2 1g AWD's and My GVR4) before I finally picked up the Galant. They are out there, but it takes time to find a one you want.
