", says officer Manly(that's was his real name), to have a front licenses plate. I got off with a warning. He was kind of a douche. Pics welcomed.Or if not, is it illegal to put it on your dash, where its viewable through the windshield.

doesnt your front bumper cover has 2 holes for your license plate?
doesnt your front bumper cover has 2 holes for your license plate?
I suggested doing that, Officer Manly's response was, "mmhmm, DONT DOOOOO THAT!!". He really elongated the word "DOOOO" that much.
Thanks, Ian

Cops want to see the front plate numbers to match description of any offenders if they pass you in the opposite direction. Cars without front plates are harder to get an accurate description when being seen in front. Numbers/Letters are easy to remember.front if the only thing you see on a DSM is the ass???
Just leave it off, I keep mine in the windshield. Next time officer Manly stops you... ask him WHY does the license plate need to be in the front if the only thing you see on a DSM is the ass???

Stock brackets can be got from a yard for pennies. I haven't ran a front plate for years in Idaho (since DSM's look good without that plate breaking up the smooth front look for a 1G).
But lately, they've been getting a little testy since I use the excuse that I just repainted my front bumper cover (which I really did and I do keep the front plate under my seat) and haven't put the bracket on yet.
..so I remounted the front bracket and got the plate and frame back on.

I hope your not justifying their stupid rules. Licenses plate on the front bumper is about as stupid as no tint.
