So I have a fully built and boosted 420a it is currently tuned on the AEM FIC and I do not like the piggy back system. It has a hiccup right now and it's really annoying and scares me a little. I wanted to switch over to megasquirt to have it tuned however I know NOTHING about megasquirt. I did a ton of research on it and it is super confusing to me like the install of it. Can you guys help me out and point me in the right direction of what I need to get to start tuning? And also do they come pre assembled where its just plug and play almost? Sorry if this is a super noob question

It is definitely far from plug and play. It may look difficult but everything is labeled on the wiring, so it's just really time consuming to say the least. As for tuning, that's a whole realm that you need to just keep reading about and just learn as you go. There is base tunes (msq files) on symtechs website and others that may have a similar setup as yours, you'll need to look.

But other then that, it's really all about learning it yourself. I know getting it professionally tuned is the way to go, but know you need to also know how MS works in case anything were to go wrong.

As for the AEM FIC, have you been able to locate the issue of the hiccup? Who's to know MS will completely solve your issue.

Well I am getting it tuned professionally either way I was just under the impression that MS runs a lot smoother than the AEM FIC does. But I am also concerned my tuner (a friend of mine who mostly tuned Subaru) will be too unfamiliar with MS. The hiccup is def in the tune I don't think the AFR is right at all. Gonna hook up my wide band first to do some diagnosing before the tune

There are a few members on here that do remote tuning. I know you can find someone that knows ECMlink very well pretty easily, but I'm not sure about MS.

I have been working with my1gdsm on getting my car tuned, he has been extremely helpful and definitely knows what he is doing. You could always email him and see if he can help you out.
