First and absolute foremost, I have DSMLink v2.5. This means NO DA TABLES.
I've spent the last two hours researching and I just can't get my head wrapped around all of the info. I keep reading all sorts of different things (i.e: tune to 11:1 at WOT, tune to no richer than 12:1 at WOT, add fuel, subtract fuel etc.)
I have a good tune with no knock that I am happy with on my DSM right now. When I drop in the 1200cc injectors which are coming in the mail for my birthday, I just adjust the global and deadtime for the drive to the gas station, run it as close to out of gas as possible, then fill up with E85. THIS is where I am LOST.
What exactly needs to be changed in my tune now, assuming I have already changed my global and deadtime recommended for the 1200cc PTEs? I have been reading to add 30% of fuel. Globally? At WOT?
Once that's done and I'm tuning it, I read that I will want to start at 17* of peak timing for safety since it will not knock. However, I keep reading to tune for 11:1 AFR@WOT (assuming I am reading my wideband). But Glenn was just explaining to me how if he went richer than that he would knock. Would I be safe to tune for 12.0-12.5:1 AFR@WOT (again, according to the wideband) or am I completely getting this twisted?
So basically all I need cleared up:
Target AFR@WOT, according to wideband
What to adjust in Link v2.5 to get a "base" tune before I start tuning (assuming calibration is done)
I realize these are probably frequently asked questions, and I hate posting new threads and looking like a moron, but I really am too dumb to understand this stuff right now.
