Fried My New Act 2100 Today

My fault. I have a '93 AWD and the new "Scanmaster" from fullthrottle has a "G-Tech" mode and I got a 6.06 0-60 with a terrible launch so I really revved it and dumped the cluth with a little slipping and suddenly I'm at 7000 which I thought was cool as it does rev fast in 1st. Then hit 2nd and 7k almost immediatly. Then the smell of burning clutch plate. I ordered a 2600 today and WILL be careful but what is the best rpm to launch an AWD? Thanks, Mark

i launch at 6 but i think most would recommend 4500 or so

No, the new 2600 and the R&R will be around $700. 2600 ordered today. Install next tuesday.Mark

Make sure you break the new one in. Give it like 500 miles before you do any launches or heavy driving. It worked for me and I've had my ACT working great for almost 2 years.

thanks, I intend to go easy. i only launched hard a few times and it had a couple thousanf miles on t. i just dumped it too quick ay too high RPM's. mark

i had a 2600 for 53000 miles of highway and hardcore driving, tons of launches and lots of high rpm braking. and then one day, it started to slip a little. so i changed it, turned out it tore up the tranny, broke the shift fork, bent the throw out...nasty nasty stuff, oh and now i have crank walk.
