I am looking for information from anybody who has this turbo. Looking for an idea of spool up and lag between gears with a 2.0 and 2.3 motors. Thanks!

What good will it give him to search for 3065 :confused:

3065 - gt30 turbine in an FP .70 9cm housing
GT 40 61mm 56 trim 65 lbs/min compressor
BB center section

3575 - gt37 turbine in an FP .70 9cm housing
75 lbs/min variety compressor (*probably/possibly* GT40 67mm 75lbs/min wheel)
standard (sleeve type) center section

I 'd call FP for a spool quote. My wild ass guess would be around 5K on a 2.0

4800-5000 3rd gear 21psi, There should be a product page on our site within the next 10 days.

bah sorry, i must be losing it today OMG

thanks Brian! I spoke with Cory a while ago and he said more than 5k on a 2.3, this seemed a little high to me. I am trying to decide how practical this turbo is for a street car and any info would be great.

Here are a couple of easy pulls on the dyno with a 2.0 (9.0:1) motor at 26 or 27 psi. Blue run is in 4th gear and red line is in 3rd gear. We were messing around with the boost controller, trying to get some bugs worked out of it (boost controller).

You can see it spools to 27psi in 4th gear at 5200rpm and 25ish at 5700 in 3rd gear. Keep in mind that this is on the dyno and they will spool 100-200 rpm quicker on the road under real load.

That seems pretty high for a street car... But then again 27 psi is pretty high for a street car...

With 10lbs/min more airflow than the 3065 it has a good bit more left in it than that "Just getting started tuning" dyno plot shows...

I'm keeping my eye on that turbo.... I'll probably need more than my 56trim can provide with the new engine this spring. It would run closer to center of the efficiency range as opposed to on the edge... or even off on the new motor.

I'm not trying to bash the 3575 or anything, but am looking for a little clarification. It seems like it would have similar capabilities as the 3565 up to around 35 psi on a 2.0. Since you are running the same horside and turbine wheel with the two turbos it is doubtful that you will see any signifigant gains untill you surpass the limits of the gt35 compressor (aforementioned 35psi give or take). If you are that serious about this whole deal do you really care about a bolt on housing? At 40+ or so psi wouldn't you want something a little larger to bring the intake to exhaust pr back down (turbine housing)?

or am I retarded....

sleestack

A graph of the EMS's MAP datalog from the dyno run would have been the best... esp around here.... to show spool up characteristics..

Anyway I am very interested in that turbo unless you have some other suggestions.

The turbine wheel is NOT the same on the two.

I think by "horside" he means turbine housing...

3065= GT30 Turbine Wheel

3075= GT37 Turbine Wheel

While the 3065's turbine wheel is more effecient the 3075's turbine wheel flows alot more. Don't look the same to me.

Reread my post. i was comparing the 3575 and 3565, which both use the gt35r turbine wheel(to the best of my knowledge). I am aware that the 3065 and 3052 use the gt30 tw.

ANother question for FP...

Since the 3575 is not a bb chra, would it be possible to get a non-bb 3565 by using the Non bb gt35? Seems like it may be a little cheaper.

I 'm not sure about 3565 but the specs for .75 were quoted by someone from FP on another forum and it said GT37 for 3575. Yes, there's some confusion in those designations. What for, I don't know :)
