FP Race Mani w/ coating option question??

Okay I searched parts feedback, newbie, and bolt-on section couldn't really find my answer. So I decided to start a new thread.

I am one or two weeks from purchasing the FP Race Mani. As most of you know they offer the Black TurboX 2000F Heat Coating for $100 more. I am pretty set that I am going to get this option. I just wanted to get everyone's else opinion on it.

Basically asking for the people who had it how do you like it and was it an option you don't regret getting?? Anyone with pics?? I saw alot of pics of the mani installed but I'm not sure if that was after it was driven or just after the install. Just curious how did the mani look after the car was driven abit.

If they're are threads about the mani w/ the coating option review already, you can just send me to the page, but I couldn't find it.

So any reviews of the mani will be appreaciated. Thanks!!!!

I chose not to get the option and After 2-3 weeks of sitting it started to get surface rust, But my car was just sitting . THe manifold never even seen gases pass through it.

They dont offer the black coating anymore If I recall correctly. They switched to a bronze color coating.

Just to make sure I'm reading right. You had the mani installed on the car but never ran the car right?? Because I don't understand how the mani will rust just sittin in the box.
