found oil where i dont think its supposed to be... help (pics)

i was taking the hoses off that connect to there intercooler for the turbo because im puting on a fmic and i found oil in the piping, my turbo was blown and this is why im doing all this work, i dont know if a blow turbo could cause oil to leak into there :/ help me out

all that oil spitting from the valve cover is getting in your pipes


oh,

and if your turbo was blown, then yes....oil will be coming from that direction too
once there are no seals to keep the oil from getting in the compressor housing...it will get blown by the blades, and find its way to your TB like a snake

Yes, a blown turbo WILL cause you to have oil in your piping. You should clean it out before you reinstall your new intercooler and turbo. But yeah, it's just a symptom of a blown turbo, so no need to worry about it being some other problem.

should i take the intake manifold off and clean that as well?

No, that is not necessary.

Oil won't pool up in the intake manifold like it will the piping, no need to remove it. When my T25 went in my first 2g I got an oil bath pulling the LICP off the SMIC.... I had some choice words to say when that happened, haha.
