its going to be a bit, I worked on forza3 this last summer contracting for turn10 studios. It was a fun summer job and the game will be alot better, i cant tell any specifics for fear of lawsuits but the new tracks rock, and well, if you liked F2 youll love F3.:thumb:

Hint hint.. Tell them to put a 1g in it!!

you know what would be cool? instead of having staged mods you could get buy actual parts i.e gt35r, gt42r, s366, hks cams (that actually make the car sound different), so you could put on a combination of parts togeather to make the car faster and make a 7 sec DSM. instead of having a predetermined HP with each stage it could be like "x" part can give you "x" amount of HP if tuned properly and with the right combination of supporting mods. kinda like in real life.

and drag racing events too.

yea they need nitrous too not like need for speed like realistic like in gt4, and ive been saying for years they need a game that you have to tune the car to make it to its best like in need for speed underground 2 you can dyno the car and adjust everything and lose power or gain power! but forza is still pretty much one of the best games!

You can dyno the car in Forza 2. Hit the "benchmark" button and it shows your power and such, and you can tune your car and test drive it.

I pushed hard to see a 1g in the game, but bottom line is they want to sell lots o copies and 1gs arent a super popular car with the younger car racing croud, i.e. 7-18yr olds. remember that the target market for games is pretty young and older cars arent what are polular unless they are true classics like an E30.

as for tuning combos, it would take a very long time to set up all the diff kind of tuning combos for each of the 400 cars...

drag racing would be nice like in forza 1...

My problem with most racing games is they have Umpteed odd Versions of Evos, WRXs, Skylines, and then a bunch of really off the wall cars that not everyone has heard of. But they don't have any that's really unique.

Cars I want to see in a Racing game is a Corvair, Fiero, 1g DSM, or heck, The Peel P50 for giggles.

Mostly because it would be hilarious to see some of these cars tuned for racing.

yeah, but the amount of work that it takes to put "funny" cars in the game is just not worth it. I really had my eyes opened up to the reality that these games are about selling consoles, especially for microsoft, so popular cars get in the game not worthy cars, so this means whatever is selling in hi quantities and is on tv, ie nascar, scions, etc... its lame but what ya gonna do, make your own racing game?...

on the note about making mulltiple variants of the same car, its their way of getting their car count up without having to remodel multiple cars, at turn10 they just have to put on different wings and a different paint scheme and thats a new car. so for all the skylines and evos that what Gran turismo and Forza do. its lame but again they are trying to make money and having more cars is what people get excited about, notice they dont list how many different cars, just cars.

another thing they like to do is make an evo, evo mr, evo rs etc. and for race cars they have the same damn car but with diff liveries for the diff seasons, same car just diff paint scheme, again to up the car count, they do this with tracks to, listing a track in reverse, and mirrored as a diff track entirely. numbers is what its all about for the bragging and marketing rights.

I just want 2 things.

1. more cars but keep all the old ones.
2. rally racing.

Yeah, I know.
He who has the gold, makes the rules.

I just think they go a bit overkill on the cars, because most of the smaller cars are japanese, there are hardly any American cars, and the ones they have are usually the Camaro, (but not the Firebird) The Vette, the Viper, etc etc. Forza 2 actually had a decent spread of American cars, but still, there are more cars than the ones they included.

As well. Could be worse.

the main problem i had was they put crap on the cover thats not even in the game, like on forza 1. they put you can tune the boost and fuel, but its just tranny and suspension stuff, nothing to do with the engine. what i would love to see is more paint schemes, wheels, body kits, WIDEBODY KITS, deloreans (lets be honest, that would be sweet), under car neons, vinyls, basically more customization things.

Sounds like you need to be playing need for speed. Forza is for racing, not ricing.
