Forza 3!!!

Sounds like you need to be playing need for speed. Forza is for racing, not ricing.

coming from the guy with a riced eclipse. the developers have said that this game is not just based around racing but also customization and personalization, but the only way you can even personalize it is with paint and hours of work with the pretty low amount of vinyls in it. most cars only have, if any, 3-4 body kits, and usually everyone uses the same ones because the others look like crap.

I have a riced eclipse? Care to explain that one?

One of the great parts of the game is that every part you buy affects your performance. One of the reasons every one runs the Forza kit is because it's the only one that gives you the ability to tune downforce. You also can't ignore the massive amounts of wheels there are to chose from. Most of the body kits look like crap in the game, because they look like crap in real life too.

1. wow, the ability to tune downforce, praise turn 10 that they are the only developers out there to think of putting in downforce tuning. you can tune that in just about every racing game out there. NFS UG2 was the only game out there that you could tune fuel curves, boost and everything else, including downforce. plus, the only wings that you can tune downforce on is the forza wing and front lip, besides BMW since they have their own. most wings, if not all, out on the market have adjustable downforce, with some with adjustable height to fine tune the drag.
2. wheels? really? thats all you have is the amount of wheels? theres a difference between the amount of wheels, and the amount of companies on the game. yes, theres quite a lot of wheels in the game, but its the ones no one would really like to see on their cars in-game, plus the majority of companies have at the most 4 different wheels.
3. the parts you buy (depending on performance or cornering parts) just add horsepower or take away/put on weight. you cant fine tune the timing, fuel, or boost.
4. the body kits...ill have to agree with you there. but not all do though, im just disappointed at the lack of body kits in the game since there are more popular ones out there that they could have put in.

I really can't figure out what you're arguing about. I think you're whining about body kits, underglow, and spoilers and that you can't tune the engine.

I totally agree, I wish you could some work to the engine. It'd be cool to crank up the boost on a car and get it setup so that the engine only lasts the length of a race or any other number cool things. But if Turn 10 wasted their time on putting more body kits and flashy lights (especially when there isn't even any night racing) would be an absolute waste when they could be improving a lot of other, more important things.

most people on the xbox forums have been wanting both day/night racing and advanced timing in endurance racing (from day to night or vice versa). thats what i meant by maybe putting underglow on cars. im not whining about anything, especially about the engine. on the first forza cover, it says you can tune those things, but you get the game and its not in there. the body kits is what should have also been in there in the first place. in a game informer magazine from i think before the first one came out, they say that the game is also based around personalization, but with the lack of the amount of paint colors and body kits, its just a waste of ink to even say those things and either not delever as much or not put it in at all. its the same as in real life. you wouldnt want only 4 companies in the world to make a body kit for your car, it wouldnt be yours since 1/4 of the world would have the same things.

You are asking for another ricerhumper need for speed game. I love the feel of forza, not to much bs in there. Body kits? Seriously? Its a game about racing, not a "lifestyle" game like need for speed where you pimp the streets in your mega tyte neon glowing whips. It sticks to its roots for what thats worth. The rim choices were fine with me, its about finding that lightweight wheel that appeals to you. Why crap it all up with a bunch of bling bling wheels when the game is about "racing" not "style". It has the work, enkei, advan, volks, ect..wheels that are performance oriented. If they add some new tracks, a few new cars, and some performance tuning the game , and maybe another aspect of racing would be amazing. Go play need for speed or juiced or something if you want that "bling factor". Leave that horseshit out of forza.

camaros, corvettes, lambos, MBZ, ferrari's, lotus. a lot of the high end car makers have body kits made for most of their cars. i never said just ricer cars should have more body kits, i meant more body kits in general. go here and read some of it and maybe you will get where im coming from. Xbox.com | Xbox 360 Games - What do YOU want from Forza 3 ?
the neons was an idea, so dont get so bible humping on me about a frigen opinion, you could have just said "neons would be cool but they wouldnt fit in in a game like forza" instead of the crap you said.

i do think they should bring back the sprint racing though, that was fun. and either put in drag mode or bring back the 1/4 mile track.

i just hope they finally include the 2gb eclipse this time... i am kinda tired of the 2ga in every racing game.. GT3-GT5 .. . forza 1-2 ..... where is the 97-99 love ??

well i think its because all thats really different is the body. afterall, its a game so they arent going to think really of the details mechanical or interior wise (aside anything on in-car view) that would really make a difference, not to mention they have the same body kits for them. personally id rather have the 2gb talon because it has a truly different look than the eclipses did stock wise. id rather have a 1g in there really because NO game has one in it. not sure if A or B ### they both look sick.

theres been like 7 gran turismos, so y not be 7 forzas?

Cause Gran Turismo has been made for systems for the better part of the last 15 years.

yes, and then Forza came out of no where and kicked it's face in.

Other than more cars (1ga & 2gb) and a few more tracks all I personally would like to see, is actual engine tuning adding in. The ability to adjust cam gears, timing maps, fuel maps etc. You know REALLY tune shit like you do the suspension vs bolt stuff on. That way you could even develop the a cars engine to perform best on X track. etc.

its ONLY been made for the playstation, just fyi. plus, no one has tried to do a racing sim til gran turismo came out. it was something people didnt know how to do, but polyphony gave it a try and now look where they are at. the first and second games where great, but then went downhill pretty steeply, now T10 is trying to grab the sim genre by the balls and squeeze it til its perfect, and by the looks at how forza 3 is coming along, its pretty damn close.:hellyeah:plus, i think they said its running at...90fps? cant remember, but its better than FM2, and that ran at 60 constant. should be great :D

can you atleast tell us if they put in a 1g or not?

Read the first couple posts, he already said he worked there for a short time and pushed for a 1g but they didn't put one in.

yeah As stated earlier, i really wanted a 1ga and a 2gb , along with a hundred more cars in the game but not popular enough. Although I have many friends there that said not to be let down if " certain " cars arent in the game as there will be alot of cool Downloadable content! Also they arent really shooting for a true sim game. They are shooting for whatever makes the most money thus appealing to the largest market, even GT is doing this with nascar. This yields a game that isnt too realistic( ie easy to drive any car) but realistic enough to feel like youre driving a sim gettin some sort of good feedback from the cars attitude. They are also putting in popular/sponsor cars only, this is why many of our all time fav racing cars are not in the game and many lame cars are, licensing can also be a bi***. Either way you will be happy, there are a few new features that the old games had that it now has, also new slightly tweaked physics you guys will like and the graphics are mind blowing compared to other Forza or even GT prologue games. Again I worked there awhile ago and only recently played it not in its final state. I know I will be buying a steering wheel for this one. I have a great steering wheel and racing seat setup for gt4 and toca3 but Forza3 is worth getting a wheel that will work with it. although that is my biggest beef with Xbox, there are no good wheels for it only okay wheels.

Okay I've said enough, i guess in a handful of weeks and you guys will get to see how it is.

Duno about you, but one reason I like Forza over GT. Is the car selection. (sure there are other reasons) I really wish they didn't go the route they did with the game from what I have read. I was looking forward to a even better sim, just with more tuning options (like engine tuning) more cars, more tracks and better looking.

Oh well. I'm sure I will buy a copy anyway but it's the wrong path for the hard core enthusiast IMO. I know there doing it for sales but it just piss's me off all the time that everything is motivated by making more $ now days.
