Hey everyone I am doing a study on why college aged students (17-25) use social neworking sites. Sorry if your over 25 I don't hate you, i just need the typical "college aged student"

Can you take my senior seminar survey so i can graduate.. its about social networks (myspace and facebook) so you will actually find it really interesting and it will only take a couple minutes. There aren't many studies like I am doing so I maybe can even get it published or at least sent to conference. PS - insert any name for username if it asks for 1; it doesnt save it

I'm 28, and I did the survey. I often think like a College-aged student .

I'll have to make my 22-year-old girlfriend do it....she recently graduated from College and practically LIVES on Facebook. It seriously has an effect on her daily life....if her friends are happy, she's happy. It's unbelievable that people actually function like that.

The typical college student is 17-25? A god portion of my classmates in the mechanical engineering program at Cal State LA are over 25, me included. I think only like three percent of the senior design class is under 25. I say that your study is flawed from the get go by using an unrealistic sample audience and I hope you fail.

Sorry about that, I'm just bitter that I am still in school at 27.

I think that it should reflect standard demographic data... 18 - 24 or 18 - 34. I don't think the study is effective for anyone outside of the classroom unless the data is something that mimics current trends in data reporting; you don't see many reports for 17.25 - 27.5 year olds... I think most engineering students (age wise) are probably outliers in the overall function of the standard.

I can't stand MySpace and Facebook. I was in the Language Lab today finishing up some work and I looked to my left and there was a small girl who was probably 19, just absolutely glued to myspace.
Sounds normal right?
Yeah, except she was spilling her life story to a stranger who wanted to know if she was single. I can only hope that that's NOT normal.
