Ok so heres the deal. I purchased a used punishment fmic from a guy on here for $200. I must have missread the the add because when it came it was only the core , I thought it would include the piping. So now i would have to buy the pipeing kit from PR for $179... thats a totall of 380 spent for everything (which is mor than the kit brandnew) Heres the catch. I can pick a fmic and universal piping kit locally for $50 ( I would need to get to 90 degree elbows and it would be complete) So I an either: A-just buy the PR piping. B-buy the $50 fmic kit and sell the PR core for less than i got if for. or C-get the universal kit finish it up and sell it, and buy the PR piping. What would you guys do? I am really unsure on what to do, any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks

I would either buy the universal kit, or check eBay for a pipe kit. Save the money and remember that pipes are pipes.

I got the core and then made spend probably 23 bucks on piping and used my 2g elbow and have the flange cut then angled and welded, looks great i used the maft setup so i passed on the kit, got some couplers and i had a ebay j pipe, spent less than 350 for alll of it. I agree^.

ya i would definately say bite the bullet and go with the piping kit. I know it sucks but at least you will have the fit for your car

Might sound stupid but i just put my FMIC on today using 2 1/4 exhaust piping from Autozone i paid about $30 for all of it and took me a few hours to cut/fit/install if you dont mind being creative then go that route!

Good Luck!

just cough up the money for the PR pipes. It will save you headaches in the future. Its nice to be able to just bolt something on instead of having to modify the modifications itself.

Wait for a used piping kit to come available in the classifieds. Get the read deal and save the cash.

I've been watching for one to hit the classifieds for over a month with no luck and no one selling a fmic kit is willing to break it up for me and sell me just the pipes  I was going to build my own piping kit for my Buschur fmic but by the time you buy all the mandrel bends couplers and clamps bov flange tb elbow and jpipe it wasn't going to be much cheaper than the PR short route pipe kit. I've had the PR fmic kit in my old dsm and its a quality kit and the pipes are nice and fit good. Its not worth the hassle to me to make my own pipes when its not going to save me a whole lot of money.

Thanks for all the help guys! I think what im gonna do is pick up that fmic and uniersal piping kit today.. Ill see if i can get the piping to fit to the PR core, and if that doesnt work ill just get those 2 90 degree bends to complete the piping, sell the it, and use the money for a PR piping kit.. Thanks again for all the help, I dont know what i'd do without this site

Does this universal piping kit have a bov flange already welded in? If it does is it the correct flange for your bov? If it doesn't have one then you have to take that into consideration cause it will cost you extra money to have one welded in. How about a jpipe (depending on turbo) and tb elbow? These are a few things that universal pipe kits don't offer just so your aware. Was this fmic kit your buying for $50 actually used on a dsm?

^^^ yeah it was. so im guessing it has a bov flange for a dsm but not positive. Im goin to check it out on monday so Ill see.
