I about fell over when I seen the price..

$269.50 shipped.

I have heard horror story after horror story about SSAC kits ect. BUT my last GS-T when I got it had an SSAC fmic kit on it already and I did not have a lick of probs w/it. I did some searching on the site and seen where alot of ppl praised them so I headed to the ssac website. I couldnt believe it was that cheap..

Now to get a 97+ front bumper..

Theyve been proven many times and work just fine, ppl dont like them because its not short route but it wont make a noticeable difference maybe slower spool by like 200 rpms, pfff, thats gonna be my intercooler too

While im on this subject however..

I have the 16g evo 3 kit NIB
Will the i/c piping connect differently than the stocker does?

I have been looking at these kits. I want to get rid of the small sidemount. I may get one of these. It's only $269 and cools better than the sidemount.

the intercoolers are not bad its the turbo kits they sell that i would be worried about. thats not a bad price at all

I didnt get their turbo kit tho.

Im not sure if their stuff is worth a damn, but the kit that came w/my car was from turbokits.com.

I have some friends with 2G's and they love their SSAC kits. It looks very nice and apparently performs very well too.

Based upon what I have done to my car, if I bought this kit would that be everything I needed or would there be some additional stuff I'd need to get? It's an unbeatable price and I'm really just looking to get some better upgrades. I plan on upgrading turbo soon, is there a power limit with these kits? I can't find any of that information on their site. I don't have a problem shelling out 700-800 dollars for a kit but also would rather spend 300 if it will do the job just as well!

If you do go with SS make sure you email them first, cause I was looking into it last week and needed a few questions answered and they emailed me back saying the 2g kit is out of stock so he can put you on a mailing list for when it comes in. His exact response to me was "Hi, yes we do its 300.00 shipped and 8 additional dollars if you want insurance. The item is currently not in stock at the moment ,it should be here in a few weeks. I can add you to the list once in stock and notify you via email? Thanks"

Just so you know, I believe XS Power Inc. is the same company as SS just under a different banner. From what I know their FMIC are pretty good just make sure you got a big enough turbo for it, a 14b or a t25 may not do it.

(where did you see $269 shipped lowest I found was $300?)

Correct me if I'm wrong but only the 1g ones are not short route but the 2g ones are short route.

Make sure the shipping quote is clicked on the 24.50 FedEx price, not the $70 or so international shipping price.

With that short route kit, you will need a different J pipe than what you used for the stock side mount.

The front mount, short route kit needs a Jpipe that bends over to the driver side of the lower Motor mount.
This is the J-Pipe I bought.
It bolted on with only minor trimming of the AC fan's Blades and Fan basket. You will see immediatly where it needs to be trimmed.

Get ready for some trimming of the Bumper cover and trimming of the Pipes themselves. This kit is NOT a 1k greddy kit or similar, that bolts on directly with no modifications.
Also get ready to buy a extra Silicone coupler and T-clamps.

It would be great if the 1g kit was short route. The 2g's get all the good stuff.

LOL yea, but the 1g comes with the 6 bolt and as if that wan't enough they stuck a plastic bov on the 2g that blows.
I did hear that someone on this site is experimenting with a 2g SS kit for their 1g so wonder if he made any progress.
