I have a 91 GVR4 #454/2000 my intercooler is not like that one

i didnt say usdm vr4 . the jdm galant has the inlet on the top on the drivers side and the out let on the bottom passenger side. i said it was a galant intercooler, you can easlly tell it was modded

I'm 99% sure that's an evo 8 intercooler with the pipes welded in different positions.

And you're 100% wrong. Lol Evo 8/9 FMIC below:

Looks like you have a re-welded Conquest/Starion FMIC..hmm...middle pic:

Maybe you can get this cheap core to work:
UNIVERSAL INTERCOOLER MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE 95-99 4G63T - eBay (item 200308325997 end time Dec-31-10 08:17:29 PST)

Bottom pic shows how it looks installed....

I don't think its a Starion intercooler (unless it was seriously jacked up), I have a stock one in the garage. Here are some pictures of a Starion intercooler:

They vary between years but I've never seen one like the OP posted. I'm voting homemade.

I have a Starion/Conquest and it's 100% a retrofitted (ghetto rigged is to harsh) to the car.

It's pretty useless after a few hot passes. The heatsoak pretty fast.
