Hey guys, please I need some advice about frontal intercooler. My car came with one, that it seems to be oversized 595mm x 200mm x 55mm and also is ugly as hell.
As can be seen is not even centralized, I need to redo all the pipes.

What intercooler size would you recommend to reduce lag? I wont be using the car flooring 5th gear in high speed. Its really more a daily for some quick pulls in 2 and 3rd gear sometimes 4th.

Thanks

Tell us more about the car and engine mods. You may not NEED a FMIC and could go back to a SMIC (which are a dime a dozen). If you do a lot of revving of the motor and do that back to back, the SMIC will heat soak where as the FMIC won't (or not near as quickly). A 3" core with 2 1/2" piping would keep lag at a minimum over large piping to keep the velocity up.
Here is one of our vendors super short route FMIC's. An internet search may find you some other options that may be easier on the wallet.

I feel since the car is already with that fmic, it would.be easier to keep a fmic.
Mods are:

Walbro 450 pump
Dsm link v3
3" exaust
FIC 800 injectors
Mhi Evo 3 Big 16g turbo
Innovate ECB1 wide band + fuel sensor + boost gauge
E85

The car is pretty basic. The goal is 350whp in realiable street daily driver

I think you are pretty close to 350hp right now if you are burning Ethanol and running a E16g turbo with the larger injectors.
Does anybody else have some real world experience on a good FMIC that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and your 1st born child?
VRSF "used" to make a short route FMIC that came with all new piping and a fairly nice intercooler but they have quit producing them for some reason. Those are the intercoolers that I run on my DSM's if it isn't still on a stock SMIC. Keep your eyes on our classified ads and maybe one will pop up.

RTM Racing and CX Racing both offer short-route front mounts with intercooler piping.

RTM Intercooler

CX Racing Intercooler

Dont have personal experience with either one. i have a ETS 7" street for my Evo 16G, which is a smaller sized intercooler compared to other options out there. Purchased a CXRacing piping kit from someone who never used it and it fit fine other than some minor trimming of the bumper around the fog lamp on the drivers side.

Quite honestly I am thinking to go back to the original IC, or try to fix this one (to look better) with a 2 1/2" piping
