I am looking to run a larger intercooler for my 91 talon AWD. I have just installed a 16g on it and would like to use a larger intercooler, stock is becoming heaksoaked.
I was looking to purchase this intercooler from tread stone

INTERCOOLER

# Core Size, 10.5" X 24" X 3.5"
# Overall lenght 34"
# 3" inlet/outlet
# 1000 CFM flow rate
# 666 HP efficient

My only problem is that, since this intercooler is about 34" long and 10.5" high it completely covers most of the radiator air flow.

Has anyone used this same intercooler? and has anyone had cooling issures because of this intercooler blocking the radiator?

Thanks

My car has the vr-speed fmic, it covers the whole radiator airflow entrance, and i have no problems with overheating.

All cars are different, what might work on one, may not work on another.

With that said, you can search on this forum for ducting or overheating, and you will find numerous posts of people overcoming the FMIC blocking airflow to the radiator.
