I have a question. I want to know what everybody thinks about installing a front mount intercooler and the stock side mount with custom piping in the same set up????? dual cooling capabilities :thumb: Let me know what you think about this idea. Good or Bad.

This idea and all the variations there of regarding multiple intercoolers have been discussed to death. The typical verdict is as follows:
A)The extra piping and core create too much lag
B) It can do bad things to the pressure difference
C)It isn't efficient enough to warrant the cost or the work.

I'm not knocking the idea, hell if you have the money and don't mind a little extra lag then I say go for it. What I'd like to see is someone installing nsx style vents and putting a smaller core in each one  . Obviously it's not the most efficient design..but it does work and would certainly pass for unique.

It makes for too much intake area.

Ask yourself how many times you've heard of it being done, compared to how it's always done instead. Virtually all the DSM breakthroughs happened more than ten years ago.

exactly. I'm sure it was just an "out on a limb" type question but does it even make sense?

one thing i've learned about DSMs is when it comes to ghetto rigging... dont try to invent a new way of doing it. there's a hundred-fold of more ghetto DSMers that have done the same thing already and have succeeded. so why change what's proven :p :thumb:

You would be better off with a better sidemount design. The fact remains that FMICs are not the best thing in the world and have many draw backs.

Instead you should go Air water with a sidemount water cooler :shhh:
