flywheel torque spec??

ok im putting my flywheel i was wondering is it neccesary to torque down??if so whats the torque numbers and sequence??? or can i jus tightin realy tight with a breaker bar since i dont have a torque wrench??

torque spec is 94-101Ft/lbs. sequence would be the same as torquing down lug nuts, start at one and keep going toward the one furthest away from it like you would do with lug nuts. and if you are VERY good at judging torque from experience then try it with a breaker bar, but i'd suggest renting a torque wrench if you want to do it right and have no possiblility of any problems. i have done it with a breaker bar without problems before, but results may vary.

Well, unless you want your bolts vibrating loose and causing damage, I'd torque them down. Also apply a small dab of red Loctite to make sure they don't back out.

These are very important bolts! Absolutely use red loctite and a torque wrench. Borrow, buy, or steal one if you have to.

Torque in a criss-cross pattern (star pattern) in steps to make sure the flywheel doesn't warp and is on straight. First torque to ~60ft/lb, then 80 ft/lb, then 100ft/lb. Then I would recommend checking each bolt in the same pattern to make sure they are torqued to 100ft/lb. Make sure this is done correctly as you don't want these bolts failing on you.
