I'm looking into getting another GSX...Deal is there is a question I have had ever since my last one I had back in 2003.

It is kind of like the same problem I had with my old 97. It has a full turbo back system and a CIA, just to give you some background (like what my 97 had). Now when you take off in 1st (not dumping the clutch and holding it to the floor), nice easy take off and then getting on it, I get about mid range on the RPMs before shift, the car flutters like it has a loss of power/boost, I let up off the gas then hit it again and it is fine....Like the boost has to catch up or something. :dunno: It only does it when you first take off and not in any other gears.

Now with my 97, it did the exact same thing, but I was told by a DSM vet that is was cause of the 2G BOV being plastic and it wasn't holding boost...I needed to replace it with the 1G. Well sorry to say the car was totaled before I could have it done. Now with this new one the car does have the 1G BOV and the top of it is crushed a little, like someone took a socket and a hammer to it (trick used to hold more boost...correct?). So what is the deal with this one? It is the BOV or something else???

bov, throttle body shaft seals, intercooler piping.... do you know how to make a boost leak tester?

I've done some searching and have seen a few different versions. One was with a piece of PVC and some brass fittings, but I can't seem to find the link right off hand.:hmm:
