My eclipse has been sitting a LONG time I think. I bought a new Crank pos sensor, spark plugs and Haynes Manual. I checked the timing. (correct) The car cranks with new plugs and after I clean them. It will idle bout 10 or 15 mins before it wants to flood and die. When I rev it up it sounds like a misfire. I don't know alot about dsm cars. A friend told me it might be the TPS. What is a Purge control valve could that be the cause of my problems. If somebody can get me a vacum routing diagram thanks. How do I tell the difference between the California and Federal models.

Ive got the same problem... I think mines being caused by a 90 ecu in my 92. Does yours start fine and idle smooth but blow unburned fuel? I had electrical probs too. 02 sensor? ive got a spare im gonna swap in see if that helps

well m gonna throw in another ecu and see if that helps cause like I said mines a 92 with a 90 ecu, sounds like our problems are identical although youve probably got the right ecu. what about the coolant temp sensor that reports to the ecu?
