dependibilty maybe a comcern there. The three bolt convertors where used on the n/t trans. It may not even slide into the awd tranny right. I am running the same setup on my 94' and it has the n/t tranny in it I haven't had any problems out of the trans so far and have pushed the boost up to 17 psi. but mine is fwd don't know if the 3 bolt flexplate and convertor will hold in the awd situation.spitfiresk0690 said:This question never really got answered...
I know the two are different...
Im putting a 1g torque converter and a 1g driveplate (both 3 bolt) going onto a 2g AWD eclipse.
Will there be a problem.

The Kiggly Kit that everyone talks about...
I talked to IPT and I asked the guy what torque coverter I need to use with this kit.
He said you need to use the 1g torque converter...
I stated also that it was a N/T converter.
He said it didnt matter...
Any thoughts?
I dont see where I can run into problems though. Other guys on here have done this swap with the auto tranny in it, and a AWD auto in fact.

Also, you know how the Chevy, Ford, and whatever else torque converters had to be clicked in all the way into the tranny housing? Well do our DSM's click in like that or do you just set them in there. I can't seem to make in fit into the bell housing any further than it will go in there when i just slide it in.
good luck
