2G Flex fuel sensor on afpr

I don't see why you couldn't install it right on the bottom of the AFPR but if it were my setup, I wouldn't for a few reasons. The main one being you'll add unsupported weight to the bottom of the AFPR and over time it could potentially leak because of motor vibration, bumps in the road, etc. Another, because it will probably look like a hack job if it's just hanging right off the bottom of the AFPR.

The best thing you can do is find a secure spot to mount the sensor, i.e., the firewall or even bolt it to the bottom of the IM. Just mount it to something that can support the weight of the sensor so the fuel lines/fittings don't have to.

Yeah I would definitely want to support the weight for the reasons you mentioned. I'll probably look in to mounting it on the firewall and run a line with an fittings from the sensor to the afpr. I'll have to see if I can make a bracket to come off the firewall to the afpr, where its at or just relocate it.

You can still get away with using the stock rubber hose between fuel pump hanger and the hard line and still use push-lock fittings that are barbed off the sensor.

I have had mine mounted like this for 2 years now with zero issues. The sensor is pretty light and if your fuel pressure regulator is mounted to the fire wall you really shouldn't have a lot of motor vibration. Zero issues zero leaks. Just my experience.

I can't seem to get the ethanol sensor to read under the aux maps, and I have ecmtuning version 3.29. I have the yellow and black harness, and according to link you switch the black for the white wire and yellow for the red when connecting to the SD adapter.

Is there something you must do to activate it? I've tried to turn run the fuel pump for a few seconds but nothing.

Ok, I got it fixed. My version was 3.29 but the firmware was 3.24. So I updated my firmware to 3.28, now the ethanol sensor appears on the Aux tab. Anyways, I'm going to extend my harness so that it fits at the tank since the 6ft isn't nearly long enough. I will post photos when it's done later today.

I'm about to do the same thing and was wondering if more people had some pictures of how they set there's up.
Any additional pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brian
