I'm not knocking it, it's just terribly hard to be optmistic about a product that was proven to fail. hopefully it WILL be a success story because amidst all the complaints, it'd be nice to see something actually work.

I have 3 things to add my .02 on :

1- although the bracket is already presupported, Try to find another way to weld/add on another support bracket. holsets ARE heavier, but the e316G is still heavy enough to do some damage if not properly supported. [heat/flex/etc]

2- since you have downtime, it doesn't hurt to take the manifold to a local machine shop and have them make sure the flanges are completely flat, and if not, have them work on it. they should do it for relatively cheap.

3- this arguement has went on and on, but the SBR AND SSAUTOCHROME o2 housing has a WG entry hole at almost a complete 90* entry angle. Although probably neglible, the entry angle could be improved.

For his sake I hope that the flanges are flat. I checked on a local machine shop to clean up the exit flange on my stock manifold. The fee was $150 so I did my best with a dotco. They said these manifolds are hard to set up, thus the high price for machining.

I had my ssautochrome o2 housing surfaced and the machine shop only charged me $10.00. I then took my sbr cast manifold to have them surface the flanges, and they only charged me $30.00. I'm not sure what they're going to do to your mani that they'll charge you that much, but, have you tried going to different shops around your area to see if you can get a better price?

ok just to clarify . . .

i bought my stuff from an xspower auction.

The o2 housing came in a white box that had the xspower logo all over it, and same with the manifold.

Both of those boxes came at once obviously, inside one big box. That one big box had a big SSautochrome log on the side.

So you guys duke it out on whether or not they are the same.

BTW I'm still waiting on SBR so no word on fitment yet, at least not in the next few days.

hey do you realize XS power and ssautochrome are vitually the same like if you go to ssauto chrome there is link to xs power. all those manifolds and parts are XS power i believe so that crappy ss auto shit is really a crappy XS power one.

Why are you flaming over how I spend my money? I'm sick of everyone flaming this header but no one has the balls to buy one and slap a 50trim on it and keep a running log on how it lasts. Its my $200 and I'll spend it how I want. Ohh by the way its also my car, so if I want to run it with no oil to see how long it will last, my choice. So calm down and contribute or don't reply at all. :thumb: Am I taking a risk by trying this........yes........do I care..........no. Also XSpower is the same company and the XSpower is the same header with a bit more work done to it. Anyways wish me luck ROFL
ohh and for my embarrassment, its the internet, :tease: comon I jerk off :nono: to porn on here :shhh: I'm also pretty sure that I am not encouraging anyone. People buy these products simply because of there price and nothing else.
I think this post is great! Hey, I wouldn't do this but I am sure glad that there is someone who will so that everyone can stop saying what they think will happen and find out what actually will. No doubt I would be to scared to buy one, keep us updated.

The header I received is crap. I'm not referring to the strength of it because that much I don't know (it seems sturdy enough).

Two things that stick out the most:
The flanges aren't flat
The insides of the runners don't match. What I mean is at every point in the exhaust path where two pieces were welded together, it is not smooth on the inside! Yes, it's smooth on the OUTSIDE but on the inside the air slams into this roadblock of metal and welding. How is this supposed to flow more air when every 4" there is basically cholesterol buildup in a clogged artery????

Yes I will never buy one of their manifolds, but I might think about buying a O2 dump housing from them. You can't really go wrong for 75 dollars. So what if holes don't line up perfect. You get what you pay for and that is a deal.

Just an update. I have had my T-Pros downpipe and SSAutochrome O2 housing on for close to 6 months now and so far still no broken welds or anything.

In my opinion money well spent.

I have to thank DSMVroom for telling us WHY it's crap. All you naysayers telling me 'it's crap because it sux,' and 'it sux because it's crap' doesn't really tell me anything usefull. After reading half of this thread I was still tempted to try an XSpower/ssauutochrome manifold. But then I came across DSMVroom's update. It's very meaningful when you say there is a ridge inside the manifold every four inches. This I can understand.

well, you also have to consider that half of us that are raving that this company sucks is because we've read other threads about the same topic. This isn't the first time someone has "tested" one of their products. I can distinctly remember a couple threads about their o2 housings, o2 dumps, manifolds (remember the honda thread?!) , etc. so it's really not just hearsay (and yes I agree, most of the time it is)

T-Pros is Megan racing rebadged I thought? They look identical

Well, the ssautochrome o2 housing that I bought and installed 4 months ago is still holding up to 20+ psi boost daily so I'm happy with the purchase.
If they made a downpipe I'd probably buy one of those too.

I got the t-pros downpipe, it was the same non fitting peice that megan sold (i have heard they fixed the flange problem). It didnt matter to me though since I was getting the flange cut off and welded on anyhow.

Hey Well I was gunna say i steered clear of the pieced togethermaniold with extremebends and just got a simple equal lenghtmanifold from XS power and they didnt leave ridges where they welded. And for some reason I dont believe that Turbo that split in half is from XSpower ( LOL i now it says it right on the compressor housing) But all the turbos ive seen personally and i see alot of them on crappy hondas and such out here in NC since they are so close but i never seen one that actually has XS power on it. because they get there turbos via stone racing or something like that. I got one myself and if it breaks like that ill let you know. you can just check out the product review thread in the turbo section.
