DSMLink is a great package by itself and will give excellent results in a short amount of time. However, with the addition of a WB and a true MAP sensor you get the final piece of the puzzle that will change a nice tune into a great tune.

Bottom line: with the MAP sensor you get more accurate vacuum/boost reading compared to "boostest" inside DSMLink. That's why people install a MAP sensor.

WB = wideband o2 sensor

They can run from $50 or so to over $400. It all depends on what you want, what brand you get, if you want a gauge/digital readout or not, etc.

A MAP sensor can cost from $65 to over $150. GM and AEM seem to be the two popular brands of MAP sensors.

I'm running an Innovate LC-1 wideband (goes for about $200 - I have a gauge though so it cost me more money) and an AEM 5 Bar MAP sensor which are both input and read using DSMlink. Not hard to install and helps a lot when tuning.
