First time to the track vs second time to the track

I think i have a pretty good story! Well so Friday me and a couple of friends went to the strip. Me with my talon, my brother with his 95 gt, and my friends s2gay. Well so obviously the honda guy thinks hes hot sh*t because he has a honda! Well so my best of the night was a 15.1, gt was 14.8, and s2k was 14.9. All i have is exhaust done. This was the first time i went to the track. The second time i went racing was tonight with my brother him thinking he will smoke me this time well i lined up and he won but he ran a 14.8 while i ran a 14.3. Well i thought it was wrong but we went again and i ran a 14.1 then it stayed low 14 until i raced new camaro ss and ran a 13.9. I was like oh my god. Then i got challenged by a Hyundai Genesis and he was running 13.9s constant and i went up against him and ran a 13.7. I was like this car is amazing! Thought i could share my beautiful 14b story! My brother was speechless by the end of the night. Just remember clutch slipping and only exhaust done.

You got to be shitty me bro. That is a awsome story... I'm still a beginner 1/4 mile tracker. But damn thats a good time with just an egg aust
Imagine turning up the boost and a few more mods...
Another cinderella story was member jumbotim or something. He did low 13's with exhaust, intake, and hks vpc or something... you guys are lucky you got AWD... I envy you

Congrats on the clean passes broseph! Just a heads up but it going to be all downhill from here. If your anything like the rest of us DSMers your going to want to go faster..... And faster..... And faster. Next thing you know your stock Talon with exhaust is a fully built, big turbo bike killer. Anyways, good luck with it.

True that, but if you DO get the hunger for more speed, please follow the right path, i would had to see another DSM sitting on jack stands most of its life! :/

How much does your car weigh? Not to be a jerk, but a 13.7 in a stock Talon sounds a little far fetched. You must be a featherlight and have the boost cranked to near fuel cut.

awesome :0) what did you do to your exhaust? your car might be alot faster but i bet your boost is really high now do to boost spike... i raced my friends gto and he could pull on me pretty good.. well i did a custom 3" turbo back exhaust with no cat and i was like my car is crazy fast now.. before exhaust i had boost control set at 15psi. i then raced him again and we were almost dead even and i just happend to look at my boost gauge while he was next to me and it was at 21.... opps i got off the throttle thanking god i didnt melt anything. so thats what i think happend with your car. im in the process of tuning at 21 now .

Im running apexi n1 downpipe and full exhaust. I don't think i was boost spiking.

I already have plans! i just wanted to see with just my exhaust done would do. But i have a fmic, small 16g, ss o2 housing, pocketlogger, mbc, boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, and others to be put on! so im aiming for like low 13 to high 12 with those on stock boost until i can afford fuel pump, injectors, and afc.

I only took out the spare tire which i think everyone does. AND then another funny thing was i put my dad in the car with me( 6'3'' 275lbs) and i still ran a 14.2.
