Hey guys, this week was my first time ever at the tracks. I have pretty much a stock setup with just a turbo-back n1, 255fp, and a mbc. Well a few weeks before i knew i was going i jumped on the forums and found one that was i guess a reality check, i thought i was gona have a high 13 second run. but when i found this page of over 20-30 guys saying that with my setup my first pass would be low 15s and if i was lucky by the end of the night i would pull out a 14.7. Anyway this guy was explaining how to launch awd and fwd cars, he was saying to rev it to 4800-5300 and drop it. Well i finally got to the tracks and didnt do anything with the tires or stripped my car, nothing. I just rolled up to the line and did exactly what he siad i reved it and held it at 5000 and dropped it, my 60' was a 1.8 and my 1/4 was a 14.39 at 92.3. And every pass that i made after that i have the same 60' and running a 14.40 every time (well thats if i dont miss a gear or start out in 3rd).:talon:

You should run an AFPR with that 255 pump. I had similair mods on my 97 and I pulled off a 14.0

I bet your car would be faster with a stock fuel pump or at most a 190lph.
But congrats on the respectable first time out effort.

AWD drive cars are definately gonna hook up off the line man and revving it up and dumpin the clutch is gonna break somethin, maybe not that time or even the next time, but trust me its not gonna work forever. Take it from experience bro, been there, done that = expensive. do what canadiantsi said, you can still rev it up but feather the clutch out quickly.

i went 14.0 with a tback, filter, 1g bov, and an mbc. Stock fuel. Its all in the driving. My trap was nearly 96mph. Dont shift that little sucker t25 at 7k everytime. Try 67-6800 for the 1-2 shift and 6500 for the 2-3 shift.

With those mods you should easily be into the 13's. On a 3" turbo back exhaust and a K&N filter I managed a good 14.2@93 and probably could've went faster if I shifted earlier. Shifting before 7K is better than holding it, I did a few runs at 14.4's going to redline then went 14.2 shifting at 6.8K in first and 6.5K in second and third.
