well guys I ran a 17.634 at 78.78 mph. My reaction time was .958. Tell me what you guys think. I tried to get her to hook up but all the cars were getting some crappy times and left the tree spinning.:dsm:

Another thing to add...
Why pull your spare & stuff? Is that how you ride on the street? When I go, I go with full weight. Everything I drive with daily stays there. What's the point of saying you ran such & such time and not being able to prove when someone lines up with you?

Just my thoughts. Not flaming..

When your N/T, you need all the help you can get. I ran my Civic hatchback with stripped REAR interior. No panels, seats, spare, jack, etc... Also ran on less than ¼ tank gas. With Hondas, its all about weight vs. HP ratio, I would think that would apply to other N/T cars as well.

Yeah but you didn't drive like that on a daily basis right?
What I'm saying applies to racing on the streets (yeah yeah I know it bad). When I run, I want to be able to run that time anytime. Not just when its stripped down at the track.

easy, take out spare and jack, replace with fix a flat can.. 5 bucks, and the best money to performance gain youll ever spend on!! 50 pounds for 5 bucks.. hmm

c'mon man...If I can run 15.7's in my LS integra(LOL I know you guys don't like honda's so I drive both) w/ bolt-on's I know you can get the DSM down. That w/ a out my spare, jack, rear seats and a few other small things. Honda boys will do anything for a lower E/T. Hell it isn't as easy to go fast in a honda as it is in the DSM.

True for a turbo'd DSM. I still have yet to see an N/T DSM faster than a DOHC VTEC Honda. I smoked N/T's all day in my hatch, and a few GST's as well (didnt have very much done, but still ;) ). Just FYI this was in a '92 Civic CX hatchback, B-16A2 motor (from '99-'00 Civic Si), AEM CAI, DC 4-1 header, no cat, Apex N-1 exhaust, Spoon ECU, with stripped rear interior and mildly deflated 14" steelies:

¼ mi. - 14.60
mph - 93.80
60' - 2.190

And yes, I still do have some Honda love in me ;) .....

HAHA a little is all you need! I think we're some of the few who acctually have love for both of the two companies. I can take a auto gs-t in my teg for all that it matters but thats beside the point. But w/ the money I put into the integra I could have easily just turned around and slapped 100 into a MBC and give that biotch a little turn and then the DSM will murder me. My DSM will spank my tegs ass all day long but that is a far from fair race. LOL

as great as a turbo is, and as easy it is to extract power, theres nuthin like as high hp NA car!!! not to mention the respect.. its a whole nother world!

I love turbos...I mean who doesn't love the sound of spool followed by the awesome sound of a nice BOV. But as far as respect goes an ITR has to be one of the most respected cars in my book it is a masterpiece. It's art, perfect! But then you can't beat a spoon built engine that rev's to 13,000rpm. LOL it may sound like crap and have zero torque but DAYUM 13,000!

sound bad? i think it sounds awesome!!! i dont know of any NA 4 cyl engines that have torque but still put out more than 160 hp... only place to make power is up high.. on a track, torque dont really make a difference.. once your goin.. you stay in your powerband.. like the s2000, its a badass track car, from a stop, it aint that great, although it can still run a 14 flat quarter if you can drive it that well.. theres this one track, i dont remember the name, on the records, s2k's make up for more than half of the cars in the top 20.. pretty crazy!

I'm not talking about the sound of a stock s2k reving to 9 or so, b/c that sounds damn sweet! But the sound of a civic thats tach'ing out around 13,000, it is the nastiest sound you have ever heard. Really I wouldn't care what my car sounded like if it could ever go to 13 thousand rpm. There are some clips of a spoon civic on a strip and it is horrid. W/ a redline that high you know it isn't putting down any kinda torque. Hell it's powerband prob. doesnt start until about 9-10 thousand.
