I'm asking this question month's in advance but i would like the opinion's on certain product's i have included in my first set of mod's to buy. I will be purchasing theese mod's in may,im making a significantly larger portion of money now that i am starting my new job and i have no expenses but a 40 dollor a month insurence payment other then that i can save save save,so money is not a big issue when it comes to the prices of parts. So here with that said here it is
.suck air package from FFWDconnection
.Total fuel solution kit from FFWDconnection
.1g complete blowthrough kit from Slow Boy Racing
.1gq "blowthrough" intake pipe from dejon tool
.dejon tool lower ic pipe set "14b and 16g"
.2g ported exaust manifold
.turbosmart "in cabin mbc"
.800hp EFi fuel pump "Aeromotive"
. RNR 3"AWD 02 Eliminator turboback with ssmuffler 4"
. Turbo,exuast gauge's "auto meter (c2)"

Now injector's i would like to run 550cc but sumone told me those will not be anough is this true.As for the Aeromotive fuel pump does anyone know of a cheaper pump that is not noisy like the walbro that would suit my application.Last but not least the dsmlink i have researched and researched on the dsmlink and i baleave it would also be best suited to take on my first set of mods but the question is will i need it emmedietly after i install of of the above mentioned parts or have i not gone to advanced in mods that tuning will be neccesarry yet. Sorry for the long post just whant to be "shure" of my choice's, if you think i should be staying closer to the stage one upgrade path please let me now thank you.:talon:

my advice to you is to do ONE MOD AT A TIME. this way you can determine if there is a problem with your car as you go by. chances are if you do everything, you will have a problem and will have one hell of a time finding what's causing it.

IMO, just get a walbro 190 and rewire it. whoever complains that it whines is a little b*tch. the 255 is audible, but teh 190 is BARELY heard with the rear seats in.

also, if you're staying with the stock 14b, 550's will be more than enough. if you plan on upgrading your turbo, AND you are getting DSMlink.. go ahead and get some 660+ injectors. This way you won't run out of fuel when you need it.

You have a decent setup listed there, but here is some info...

As for the fuel pump, the walbro would be your best bet. The Aeromotive units are a bit pricey, and would honestly be a bit much if I were you.

You didn't mention what your goals were w/ the car (horsepower, quarter mile times, etc) - that would help us steer you in the right direction. As it is, it sounds like you are going in a few directions all at once....Best to do one mod at a time and focus on one area of the car at a time to build up your supporting mods so you're ready to add the "good stuff". I.e. start with the fuel system, get that taken care of, then move on to the intake/intercooler piping, then start looking at larger turbos, etc. etc.

A rewired Walbro pump will be fine -- they are not that noisy. Besides, if you are going for power, you will have a lot more "loud" parts on your car to worry about than a fuel pump, in my opinion.

When you upgrade injectors, you will need to get an S-AFC (or DSMLink if you want). If you go higher than a Walbro 190, you will need an AFPR. I would recommend the Aeromotive 13109 with a fuel pressure gauge.

But like I said, let us know what your goals are, and we can go from there.

Absolutely agree. And if i might add. As I look back, I whole heartedly wish that my first upgrade would have been my DSMLink. Get one, since you say money is not that much of a issue. It is still a great deal even thought its more expensive. It is like a standalone for half price:thumb: .

Im not so mutch looking for big big HP but id like to push more then 300HP,as far as what im doing with the car it's my daily driver and id just like to have one hell of a mean street car, it will probally see the quarter mile a couple time's in the summer.Eventualy down the road ill purchase another tsi awd for full race but my current talon just hit 80k last night and it's just to mint for me to beef it up and make big HP and never really use it.Just lookin for a nice powerfull impressive daily driver right now.:talon:

^^^ Exactly. Most of this could be accomplished for under $3K, as well. Especially if you find some used parts here in the classifieds.

This is similar to the setup I will be running, minus a few things. I am shooting a little higher than 300hp, though, so I have a few added goodies.

Notice there was no BOV listed there -- the 1g BOV is an excellent stock part, and won't need to be replaced until well after you've hit 300hp. A lot of people make the mistake of replacing the 1g BOV too early -- it is not necessary until you are pushing more than 20 pounds of boost or so. At 20+ psi, you would have already hit (and possibly surpassed) the 300hp mark, provided you have done all supporting mods correctly.

Get DSMLink. It's high on my priorities list at the moment, as well.

Remember the "Dodge Garage" mod. That sucker will hold over 30psi if properly modified. I have mine working fine at 22 as a DD.

True!! i don't think he's going to be running 30 pounds of boost anytime soon, though. LOL

How do you like yours?

Speaking of boost you can run about 16psi no higher safely on the 14b correct??
Also a supra smic anyone have good result's from using them are there benificial gain's in replacing the stock smic with the supra sidmount or should i just wait till i buy a 16g and get a fmic.

People have had luck with both the Supra SMIC and the upgraded DejonTool "Big" SMIC. Each have their following, but I was planning on the DejonTool SMIC until I got my Buschur FMIC recently at a steal (not installed yet, though...still rockin' the stock side-mount, LOL)....

As far as the 14b....I wouldn't go much past 16psi, but I'm sure others have tried/succeded at this. Just hold out for the 16G for that and be safe ;)

Everyone tries to run me until I shift. It is LOUD. But only at above 10 psi. That's NOT why I modded it though.

that's awesome :thumb: I've gotta try that :) Not a big fan of loud BOVs, unless they come with lots of power behind them (like in this case, haha)....

Yea when you start pushing your EVO3 16G, that KA-CHHHHHHHHH! takes on a whole new connotation. I hated the BOV noise until i had to mod mine because of running more boost. Now, it's funny to see a country mustang boy duck down in his seat as you shift in passing, knowing that he's wondering if his gas pedal is all the way to the floor.

Good call. I always make the mistake of assuming that people have read all available tech guides before posting...But you know what they say about assumptions ;)

So true! I hate having a collection of awesome parts in my garage that can't be installed yet....They are just sitting there, taunting me. LOL.

Gotta get this car running right ASAP so I can start doing some serious damage. LOL :rocks:

My boyfriend has a Mustang GT.....I can't wait to smoke him in my broke-looking sleeper 1g. :p
