So this week I added some e85 to my car.
I also added some BlueMax 1450s and a Fuel Lab 818 filter with feed line. I do have a couple of questions.
When I try and start my car, it wont fire on the first crank. I have to stop then crank it again and it will start right up? Is this normal with e85 and bigger injectors?
Below are some logs I posted. This is right out of the gate untuned and first drives with the e85, 818, and 1450s. Also, injectors are set at -61.3 and deadtime is at 450.
Let me know how they look. Thanks.

Look at combinedFT during idle and other closed loop periods.

You have a bit of work to do.

Still new to this tuning with v3, can you explain more?

Also, I havent adjusted anything since the install of the 1450 and e85. Ill be tuning it this week but im just looking for some advice. Thanks

So basically I have to mess around with my STFT and LTFT?

Does any one know why Im having to start it twice to have it run?

Try priming the pump before tring to start the car, What's the weather like in your area I've never had that bad of problems starting in the cold but it does take longer

Its 65* out right now, the weather shouldnt be the issue. Ill try clicking the key on and let it sit before I start it again. Thanks

Also, while I'm driving, say around 2000 rpm, and I push in the clutch it dies out. Any idea?

That is NORMAL with E85 during cold starts. The warmer the weather, the easier it should start. It has alot to do with vapor pressure of the fuel. E85 has less of it than gasoline at any given temperature. The size of the injectors may exacerbate this quirky start phenomenon. Of course having your fuel settings dialed in well as well as your timing table can make this annoyance less noticable. I would richen that Global a tad. FWIW, I run -60% on my 1,600cc's at stock BFP.

I have 1450's in mine with bfp set a 40psi. I run -53.5 and 675 deadtime.
I haven't been playing with V3 for very long but this might help you with yours.
I've attached a log of mine from when I first started to set it all up and hopefully it might help you into the right direction even though every car is different.

I'm also at bfp. Can I ask why you are running the injectors richer than normal? Also what is your deadtime set at?

I haven't been playin with v3 for that long either, about a couple of weeks. I did he calculations for e85 and got -61. Does your car run better with the richer global? You think I should came my settings to around yours? Also, do you have the BlueMax 1450s?

I run FIC 1,600cc's. Deadtime is 450us. I run it 'richer' because that's what the car likes. I make alot of adjustments on my car according to feel ie. drivability and what the lambda meter reads. Calculations are not supposed to be definitive. They are supposed to get you within the ballpark where you should begin. Each setup will work slightly differently depending on your local E85 blend and your car's own particular setup.

I'm still on V2 so I haven't had the chance to play with neat wizards in V3 yet. :)

I did my calculations based on this page. e85fuel [ECMTuning - wiki]
I then used the global fuel calculator in V3 and inputted my recalulated injector size and new fuel pressure and then I just tweaked it a little from there.

I found that the car did not like running a deadtime that was much lower than what I have now.
I tried it at 450 to start with and it hated it so I progessively raised it to where it is now.
I do have the Bluemax 1450's too.

you could try using similar settings to mine... I may or may not help as has been mentioned before by wiser folk than myself!! :thumb:

Thanks. Can I ask what your afr's are at? WOT, cruise, and idle.
