First log using link v3, suggestions anyone?

Alright I just installed a 95 ecu and ecm link v3 and now im almost clueless as to where to begin. I have gotten my injectors and deadtime set and it will crank and drive fine and even go wot with no knock its just way too rich. Anyone give some advice or some links on more advanced tuning and WOT tuning? Im only familiar with the safc. And my mas settings are using the hacked 2g mas template. Sorry if the log is kinda long but i just wanted to include all the data that i could.
Well my log is too big anyone know how to reduce the size of it so i can upload it?
 
Sorry guys havent had a chance to get the logs til now anyways here are two. one is just driving around normally and the other is a wot pull.

To shrink up a log you go on the log hold left click push the right arrow key, right click on the log,Selection,clip to selection rename it and you'll be good.
Why do you think it's rich?
What afr do you consider rich?
 
well as soon as i hit boost my afrs on the wideband go to 10. im thinking somewhere in the 11.8 to 12 range should be great because i run 93 octane and have never had an issue with knock.
 
If you copy your max oct chart and past it on the min oct chart your guaranteed set up to what you want.
The fuel map that you have on the min setting is way richer than your stock fuel map.Are you going to give i try?
 
I did take notice to your airflow readings. At idle you are sitting at roughly 0.34 gm/rev (AirflowPerRev). You want to be around 0.24 gm/rev. You are not set properly for fuel seeing that your CombinedFT is -7% to -11%.

You'll need to play with the dead time and lower your MAF compensation to get as close to 0% FT and be at 0.24 gm/rev. If your fan was on during the idle portion then that will affect your numbers. Post up a full idle log at operating temperatures when your fans are off.

You want to lower it because the ECU is taking away fuel at -7 to -11%

Start with the Maf compensation until your around 0.25 on AirflowPerRev at idle when fully warmed up, once thats right play with the deadtime until combined FT is as close to 0% as possible. Once thats setup you can start with a cruise log

alright so i went in this morning and played with the sliders and adjusted the maf comp and heres what i got. the first log is just a regular idle log before any changes. the second is an idle log after i copied the max octane chart over to the min octane chart. the third is when i started playing with the maf comp 0 and 50hz sliders. no matter what i did it seemed like the airflow per rev wouldnt adjust. Also note that when i tried to lower the sliders too far my idle went to shit and my wideband leaned out pretty badly. for some reason at idle my wideband and dsm link show different readings that arent even close to each other. while cruising they seem to be close. Something else thats making this process harder is im fighting this stupid idle issue where the longer the engine runs the more my idle raises:banghead::banghead: when i put my 1g throttle body on this started and its been causing hell ever since. anyone have any suggestions?

Can you log the ISC control please
Copying the max table to the min table was to help your rich issue at wot and not at idle
You might have a leak did you ever do a boost leak check?

Ill get a log with ISC today and get it posted. And no I havent done a BLT in about a month but last time I did i fixed all my leaks. Ill do one this weekend but I cant any sooner bc thats the only time I have access to an air compressor.
 
Ok, I think you went too far with your fuel. you are now running lean. Your STFT is now positive, which means that the computer is adding fuel. Also your Air flow per rev is now 18 which is also too low. So I think you just need to be in the middle of where you were and where you are now.

Also you stated that you are using a Wide band, which brand is it and how is it connected? The reason I ask is because some AEM WB's SOMETIMES have an issue driving the input to the ECU quickly enough to have the Ecu react properly. Or even give correct readings. I had to play with mine to get my LTFT to work properly

The ECU also needs to know which input you are using for the WB. That is setup in ECU Config>ECU Inputs


Also you need to run the configuration on your TPS agian. At idle you are reading 2% open.

The initial setup video's on the site really helped me with some problems I was having like this. The setup of ECM Link really is the hardest part and the most important. If you do not setup your sensor correctly, nothing will make sense.

Ok. First its a glowshift wideband, it isn't connected to the ecu because I haven't done that yet. Reason I say its off is because the wideband at idle is reading 17.2 to 20.0 but link is showing around 14.7. I ran the tps tool twice but I thought 2% was odd so ill run it again as well as play with the settings to see if I can get it in the middle and i'll post another log tonight. Thanks for all the help so far everyone.

How can I log isc? I looked for it on the log values but it wasnt listed.
 
Try another TB.
How did the car run with the stock computer?

Is another tb really necessary? I think my throttle plate is sticking open slightly. And its hard to say how it ran wit the stocker because I was tuning with an safc 2 . Ill post a current log today its much better cruising but I seem to still be having major issues being far to rich under wot. I think is time to start playing with that but I don't know where to start adjusting.
 
This is the fun part post a log and we can help with that.
Also post what the wideband was reading at what rpm
