2G First gear boost cut

Hey there, so when I'm boosting around in my stockish GST I noticed first gear feels a little strange when I push it past around 5k. It feels like a good portion of my boost isn't getting to the engine. Im pretty sure its not a boost leak cause its only in first. Do 2G's have a factory boost cut in first? If so how would one get around this, because boost life is the best life. My BOV's venting if that makes a difference.

yes, venting makes a difference. your dumping metered air. recirculating your BOV is where you need to start.

Yea I know, the guy before me put on an eBay BOV and I haven't had the monies to switch it out, can't really run a recirc from it cause the trumpets welded on

I have a knockoff Greddy style BOV you can have if you pay shipping. It's a 1g flange, not sure what you're running right now

But if your stockish, that means your still on the t25, your probably running out of air in top end. I couldn't stand it, all gears past 5-6k it feels like its N/A just a thought.
