i just recently took my car to extreme motorsports for a dyno tune and s-afc tune and my car only dynoed at 182 whp which seems low for all the mods i am running.ill start of by listing all my current mods

to me it looks like bad timing but i wanted to get other opions thax.

All that graph is showing us is your power level. What were the afr like? Do you have a logger? Are you on a SMIC? Did you check for boost leaks? All these would be a factor for why your power is so low.

the air/furl ratio was tuned by extreme motorsports so im guessing everything should be fine and yes its a smic and i just did a boost leak test and everything came out fine and i do not have a datalogger but im looking for one

Ok, first, you're running a 255 fuel pump without an AFPR, which means you're running really rich. Second, you're on, I'm assuming, the stock SMIC, which is VERY restrictive. Third, you're running 15 lbs of boost which is not much at all for that turbo. I'd say you're numbers are right in line with your setup.

That graph looks like shit. The torque shouldn't drop like it does. There was definitely some issue on that run.

Are you kidding me? I got my car dynoed with a t-25 and 15 psi with ONLY a intake filter and my numbers waste this guys. Dude there is something wrong here. :toobad:

yah i defently know somethings wrong with the numbers but i can also notice a big difference when i drive it, it kind of feels like its bogging but i dont hear any misfire and when i look at the dyno it kinda explains how it feels i think i might get a afpr and see if that helps but if anyone else might have answers please feel free to post and also that wasnt my torque that dropped off that was my hp

95gstMD extreme motorsport has dynojet or mustangdyno?

Pretty low number you got there. If you plan to boost more, I suggest buying a FMIC, bigger injectors, boost about 20psi and fine tune the car. Sounds like you have a bit of knock, might want to change your plugs and dyno the car again.

I have 400whp Mustangdyno and i'm still using the stock fuel regulator. :D

it was a dynojet but i got a fmic on order should be here any day but i dont know what else to think i put brand new plugs a wires on a week ago it helped a little bit but it still runs bad but i was looking at my car today and the power transistor ground was not were it was supose to be it was just hanging so im hoping this might be the problem but ill take another look at it tommarow and id just like to thax everyone for there help

It would be great to see some logs. I hate to make assumptions but it really looks like a lot of timing was being pulled.

i used to have a turbo mr2 and if u pulled fuel through the safc 2 it would advance timing and risk blowing the motor. i dont know if that is the case with dsms or not, but id recommend gets an afpr its the safest way to take out fuel.
Why does it dip in the middle of the sheet? are u hittin a real big rich spot then pulling out of it top end or what?

I'm going to guess the lack of AFPR is hurting you worse than anything... your car came stock with a better dyno sheet than that. Either that, or a MAJOR boost leak. When's the last time you put on your boost leak tester and checked everything out? Also, assuming you're running 91-94 octane. I've met a few that didn't realize they needed it, and were boosting on the cheap stuff.

Definitely get a logger, and think about picking up a wideband O2. Something's really wrong if you're getting that kind of sheet.

If it was a big boost leak or running very rich, the torque probably wouldn't have picked back up on the top end. It just dips during the rpm range that usually generates the most torque and requires the most fuel. I could be wrong but I have a lot of tuning experience and I've never seen a boost leak come and go at different rpm's. Also the stock ecu makes things a lot richer on the top end, somewhere in the 9.5-10:1 range, if it was running overly rich the torque still wouldn't have come back like it did.

The Safc does have an effect on ignition timing, but he doesn't mention having larger injectors, so the effect would be almost nothing. Even with 650 injectors it would still be ok.

Did they use a datalogger or anything to monitor knock during the dyno tuning? Did they check base timing or anything like that? How does the car feel on the street?

no they didnt use a logg or anything they just did a BASIC S-AFC TUNE and its not a boost leak i double checked that today but anyways on the street it feels sh*ty the dyno sheet kinda explains how it feel but when i got into the 4k rpm range i noticed that its running rich. also its the hp thats drops the torque stays more steady but there both affected by what ever this problem is.

It's the torque that drops. Horsepower is a mathematical function of torque. How did you determine it's running rich at 4k?

my a/f gauge goes all the way to rich plus i can smell the gas and it feels like its losing power

If it's one of those blinky light ricer A/F gauges, it's not accurate in the least. Do you have a logger? If so, log a run or two and post them up here. If not, you shouldn't be trying to tune your car.

3rd post, no datalogger.

He already did a boost leak test. Post#3 as well. Is anybody actually reading this or are you just skipping everything and posting random thoughts?

well today i took off my stock intercooler becuase my fmic just came in and i noticed alot of oil in it so i am gonna order a catch can for the breater hose and hopefully when i put my new fmic on it will help some
