ECMlink first data log tell me what u think

Your first log has no data in it.

It doesn't look like your front o2 sensor is cycling at all. Start the car, let it warm up a bit, and watch the front o2 value. It should cycle between .05 and .95 or so.

I agree with Rob10, your coolant temp is way too high and is causing the ECU to pull timing. Make sure your fans are working, make sure your thermostat is working properly, and possibly change out your coolant.

You might need to adjust your TPS. Turn the key to ON (but don't start) and log TPSVolts (already logged) and ThrotPos. Let the pedal sit at 0% and then push it 100% WOT. Make sure there's nothing obstructing it from reaching 100%, like a floor mat. Then bring it back to 0%. Then run the TPS wizard. I would also have a friend help you verify the throttle cable is adjusted properly at WOT.

Make sure to check your DTC codes and fix anything that pops up. In two of the logs, I see two different DTC codes.

ok thanks. adjusted the tps, checked throttle cable to make sure @ open throttle gas pedal was on the floor--did it with 2 people. all dtc codes are fixed. new coolant in tank may need to change out thermostat. Here's my new log after doing these changes

You haven't posted any logs of you driving the car, so I would hope there would be no knock detected.

The idle should hopefully be able to come down once you get the new sensor installed, which should hopefully also help smooth everything else out. But I would work on one thing at a time, especially when dealing with a bad front sensor. It can mess a lot of things up.

Don't mean to hijack to the thread, but what are you guys using to read the logs. When I try and open the log my computer doesn't recognize .elg files and I never heard of it either, so I don't know what software to use. Is this something specific to DSMLink??

Thanks for the help, as I'd like to see what other peoples logs look like so I can better "edumbucate" myself on these matters.ROFL

You need to use dsmlink or ecmlink to read the log files. You can download the program for free from ECMlink.com

+1 If you try and fix everything else without fixing the o2 sensor first, you will probably end up needing to fix everything again after the sensor is replaced.
