Fire extinguisher

Anyone have any issues with these and the in car temps? I know a couple I have looked at say not to keep in temps above 120 degrees and since I live in Florida during the summer my in car temps can get over 120 pretty easy when it is parked. I would hate to have one go off because the temps get to high and mess up my interior.

The thing about fire extinguishers is that they usually aren't used on your own car. A 2.5 lb bottle is good for putting out a fire while it's still very localized, but that's about it. But you hope that someone nice stops as you're using yours to assist with another.

Just seeing this now and I like it. How thick is that material?
So you saying the front part is bent down and the 2 sides were welded on? I'm looking at this pics trying to figure out how you would make all 3 bends so close in a press LOL.

They've been working out great for Eric and I. They're very solid and I pretty much don't know that they're there, except for the fact that I see my fire extinguisher sitting below my seat. Never had a problem with the bracket yet, and it's been through autox, road racing, and drag racing.

Geez, didn't think it was that thick!

Just checked one I made for a friend out of steel and it's .070. I think that is more than enough, .125 wow!

Here's my install with Brians bracket, everything fit great. I bought my FE-36 extinguisher from Bakers gas as well. Brians price match link wasn't working, so I just googled the extinguisher & after a quick search best price I found was $121. Bakers wanted $126 but they did the price match for $121.
